1337 Zephyr Fest: Dwayna Donor Drive

ZephyrFest for 1337 AE (2024) has ended!

We raised $102 for Extra Life, $120 for NMDP / BeTheMatch respectfully.We gave out 3.5k gold worth of prizes to those who donated, and donated SO many bags (and an additional amount of gold) to players in Tyria the very next day!Thank you everyone who made this possible.Even with the event over, you're still able to donate to either charity. CJ will be back with Extra Life in November, so keep an eye out for that.Even if the season of Zephyr is over - giving is not. So please try and reach out to your own charities sometime and lend a hand. (Or even, donate or help a player in game to pass on the spirit of kindness.)

What is ZepyhyrFest?

ZephyrFest is a celebration of the Goddess Dwayna. Since Zephyr is associated with air and Dwayna, we're hosting it around the Spring solstice to celebrate new beginnings. In the nature of Dwayna, we are running this as an RP event that is dedicated to charity - both in-character and out of character!

In the spirit of Dwayna, we are gathering donations and raising awareness for certain causes, and entering people in a raffle if they participate. Feel free to enter one of, or all three, of the special giveaways below!

Light of Dwayna

Interested in making your very own Light of Dwayna? Well - we can't make you the item itself - but we can help you along your journey if you enter this giveaway!How to Enter:- Donate any number of 15 slot (or higher) inventory bags to Ciijay.2916 in game with the mail subject "ZephyrFest" (If you want to contact me on Discord to ensure I got it, reach out to @ciijay)- You can only enter this giveaway once but you can give away as many items as you want- You will be entered into a spreadsheet based on your account name.- At the end of the event, CJ will announce the winner on stream.The winner will receive the following items to help them craft their own Wings of Dwayna:
- 50 gold to buy 50 Icy Runestones
- 7 Charged Lodestones
- 15 Bolts of DamaskAll of the inventory bags will be donated to players in the Starting Zones of the game after the event!

Wings of Dwayna

To get a chance to win the longbow Wings of Dwayna - let's start Extra Life early with some donations.To enter the giveaway, you can do one of the following to earn a raffle ticket:- Donate any multiples of $5 to Ciijay's Extra Life page using the "Enter the ZephyrFest giveaway!" incentives. Every $5 counts as one raffle ticket. The donation will ask for your Account Name we can associate with your donation - so please use the incentives if you want to enter the giveaway through donations. (You are welcome to give a normal donation still, too!)- Join as an Extra Life participant and be entered for 3 raffle tickets. If you're interested in the first generation Legendary Greatsword Sunrise - there will multiple ways to enter.In this, we'll still allow Extra Life donations. But with this being the biggest giveaway I want to draw attention to something a little more personal.NMDP, formerly known as both BeTheMatch and the National Marrow Donor Program, is an organization that helps people with various cancers through blood stem cell and bone marrow donations.I know people who are going through a tough time right now who could really use donors to save their lives right now as things are quickly getting worse for them. I've recently signed up to see if I'm eligible to donate.This is a registry I want to make people aware of. You may never be called on, but if you are called upon - you could help someone spend more years of their lives to pursue their dream.If you can donate - please do. (And you'll be entered in the giveaway below.) If you are Asian, Pacific Islander, or of any mixed race heritage, and between the ages of 18 & 40, especially try to sign up for the donor registry.You can also use my sign up link here. Welcome to ZephyrFest 1337

Time & Place

The RP Event will be taking place in Divinity Reach's Western Commons. The squad will be hosted by the character "Amber the Baker".The event will start at 5 PM PT - but the squad and stream will be up at 4 PM PT (at reset time).

Quick RP Rules

Here's some quick RP rules and expectations for the event.We want this event to be wholesome and focused on the idea of charity, kindness, etc.So - we ask that you please do not bring anything too disruptive, negative, or violent to the overall event.Characters getting into a small argument or tussle is fine. Characters bringing out guns or bombs is not. Characters attempting to poison others or something similiar to shift the tone and focus of the event is also not welcome.The genre of the event is a social and wholesome event. So let's keep it casual and wholesome. Save the other RP for whispers, or just away from the event.Thank you for understanding!

Activities

See the Squad Message for more info on where certain booths will be located.Here are the activities that will be run that players can RP around.(Note: These are mostly for flavor and for RP - nothing's actually organized or requires a monetary donation. Just handwave it or say your character does it in the background.)- Food Stalls: Free food for all participants, including food centers for the unhoused neighbors around the Reach. Served by volunteers of the soup kitchen. Food from the Church of Dwayna, the Order of the Sacred Mother, and the Merchant's Coin [COIN]. There will even be a Dwayna Cookie Decoration station here held by Seiros Soulforger.
- Information & Donation Booth: A small area where visitors can gather more information about the causes and drop off monetary and physical donations. You can also sign up for neighborhood walks to hand out a variety of goods to the people of different neighborhoods, or sign up for a soup kitchen.- - Carnival Games: Play a variety games here for prizes. These carnival games will cost RP money (not actual in-game gold) - but all proceeds will go to a good cause!
- Petting Zoo & Mount Rides: Come pay a small fee to pet or ride a mount. All money goes to a good cause - and will be matched by House Liú! (Ran by Leander Liú)
- Tyrian Medical Association [HEAL]: Info coming soon!Looking to run an activity? Want to give away food from your bakery? Perhaps an auction? A kissing booth? Mount wash or mount petting zone? Reach out to @ciijay for more info.

Streaming & Giveaways

Aside from the RP itself - the whole event will be streamed on Ciijay's Twitch Channel (with chat box hidden), so feel free to follow along there!
